August 2010 to present: Assistant Professor of Visual Art, University of North Texas at Dallas, Dallas, TX. Invited to teach at UNTD and design digital art courses. Currently teach Art Appreciation, both online and face to face, and Visual Arts Integration. I also taught Children and Art and Computers in the Classroom. Students per class: 10-55.

August 2008 to May 2009: Adjunct Assistant Professor of Art, Cottey College Nevada, MO. Asked to teach one Digital Art class in Fall of 2008 then asked to return and teach one Digital Art and one Graphic Design class as adjunct. Concurrent with teaching at MSSU.

June 2004 to May 2009: Assistant Professor of Art, Missouri Southern StateUniversity. Joplin, MO. Teaching: Computer Graphics: Publishing, Computer Graphics: Imaging and Web Design, Digital Photography, History of Graphic Design and Art Appreciation. Also taught basic design, watercolor, and life drawing. Former advisor for Winged Lion Creative Arts Magazine.
Served on Faculty Welfare Committee and Faculty Senate. Webmaster for our departmental web site. Developed two online software training classes. Maintained two Mac labs and a professional photography studio. Students per class: 15 - 35.

2006: Adjunct Instructor of Art, Miami International University and Art Institute ofPittsburg Online. Pittsburg, PA. Courses taught: Typography, Electronic Design, Design and Technology. Students per class: 10-13.

1998-1999: owner Pam's Bike Shop, Canton, IL. Researched and analyzed trends, remodeled store, created many promotions and community service projects, maintained customer service, supervised mechanics, attended trade shows and seminars for ideas. Showed a profit in first year
of business.

1992-1998: retail management and advertising design, Harris Enterprises, Canton, IL.    
Created retail ads, signage and displays for three stores: sporting goods, hardware and
automotive. Concurrent with teaching at Spoon River College.

1984-1992Corporate Advertising of America, Hinsdale, IL.
Co-owner. Advertising design and production. Designed and produced magazine and newspaper
ads, brochures, and book covers for Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Cosmetic Surgery Center of Chicago, Elliott Thomas Medical Group, Christian Blind Mission International, Storm Products,
Uppco, Inc.

1979-1984: Mel's Sporting Goods, Canton, IL.
Installed and managed screen printing department. Trained my replacement so I could go to
Illinois State University, then returned to work on weekends. Note: continued freelance design
using the mail and internet until 2004

1972-1979: The Daily Ledger, Canton, IL.
Created ads for clients and worked with them to develop effective campaigns. Learned many
valuable aspects of offset printing. Attended Spoon River College while working.
